Artūrs Ozoliņš signs for Russian VHL club Yermak Angarsk
One of the best Kazakhstani Top Division scorers Latvian center forward Artūrs Ozoliņš has signed contract with Russian VHL ice-hockey club Yermak Angarsk.
27 years old center forward has signed a 1 year contract with Yermak Ice-hockey club, who plays in VHL (Vysshaya Hokkeynaya Liga) since 2007. For the last 4 seasons 194 cm tall Latvian played successfully in Kazakhstani and Russian clubs, showing good goalscoring record.
Riga born player has also played for Latvia National Team and hopefully the new step forward will be a great chance to be selected for the next year’s IIHF World Championships 2016.
Latvia National team candidate will join fellow Latvian Juris Upītis, who spent last season playing for Angarsk team.
Year 1959 founded club Yermak Angarsk has never played in Soviet/Russian Top division, but was always considered as a tough nut to play against. The Club plays in Yermak Arena (capacity of 6,900 seats).
