Klāvs Čavars on loan to Pertevniyal Genclik Istanbul

PRIME Athlete Management agency has negotiated with CB Gran Canaria loan of  Klāvs Čavars to the Turkish club Pertevniyal Genclik Istanbul for the remaining part of 2016/2017 season.

Latvian big man Klāvs Čavars signed with CB Gran Canaria last summer, where he played and trained in the Spanish club’s system. Now he will move to the Turkish Basketball First League (TBL) club Pertevniyal Genclik Istanbul to complete the 2016/2017 season.

Klāvs’ comment on joining the Turkish club: “I am really glad to join Pertevniyal Genclik club. I think that it is a good turn for the second part of this season, so I can prove myself in the league, which in my opinion is strong. I would like to thank PRIME Athlete Management agency and personally to Raivis Ušackis and Roberts Ginters – for acting quickly (to negotiate this deal) and also to the management of the Gran Canaria club for the chance they gave me and for the high quality training process. I think that during this season I have developed individual skills and good physical condition, which would help the Turkish club to achieve victories in the following games.
