Eltermanis to try-out with Bulgarian Premier League club
Latvian football goalkeeper Maris Eltermanis has joined Bulgarian Premiere League (A Grupa) football club Etar Veliko Tarnavo for a try-out period in Turkey.
Maris Eltermanis is an experienced goalkeeper, who was born on 16 October 1981. During his career he represented such Latvian football clubs as FK Rīga, FK Auda, Dinaburg FC, FK Ventspils and FC Daugava. Last season Maris played in Lithuanian highest tier football league (A Lyga) for FK „Kruoja” Pakruojis and finished the season in 4th place. Maris showed solid season playing 33 games in total and in 12 of them left his net empty.
Etar Veliko Tarnavo is a Bulgarian Premier League (A Grupa) football club, based in city Veliko Tarnavo. In 2011/2012 season the club won the 1st division of Bulgaria and gained promotion to highest tier football in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian A Grupa season started on 12 August and currently clubs are on a winter break. After the first half of the season „Etar” is fighting to avoid relegation from A Grupa being 4 points away from the safe zone.
